About Us
The Northern Plains Tribal Cancer Data Initiative (NPTCDI) is a project funded by a grant from the Office of Minority Health from the United States Department of Health and Human Services. This program is researching the cancer disparities among Northern Plains American Indian communities by improving the quality, accessibility, and usability of cancer data.
Our goals are to:
- Improve the coordination and alignment of cancer data collection, management, dissemination, and utilization
- Increase the use of available data to identify high priority cancer health status objectives and services needed to achieve such objectives
- Enhance the current system for more effective cancer data collection, management, and use
- Ensure that the project is managed effectively
